Marie Montemurno
Marie has been helping clients manage stress since 1998 when she achieved national certification to practice massage therapy.  Two years later she found her niche and gained certification in both pre-natal massage therapy and Doulas of North America.  In addition to pregnancy massage, Marie provides Swedish massage, deep tissue, lymphatic drainage, thirty back and neck treatments, foot massage, and on-site/corporate chair massage.

Marie received her massage certification at the Central Florida School of Massage in Winter Park, Florida.  This intensive program demands over 500 hours of study and hands on practice before a certificate is granted. Marie has completed an additional 400 hours of continuing education. She is also a graduate of Penn State University. 

Marie has provided instruction at The Central Florida School of Massage in Winter Park, Florida, Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute in Boone, North Carolina, and Lincoln Tech in Shelton, Connecticut.  Since 2001 Marie has been a teaching assistant to Carole Osborne who is the author of Pre & Peri-natal Massage Therapy. 

Marie enjoys gardening and spending time with her family in Bridgeport's Black Rock neighborhood.
